"Now the ongoing talks with Russia to build new nuclear plants," he told reporters during a news conference, despite calling the discussions as "very common."

"If they give us 20 percent enriched uranium, we would stop enriching uranium domestically to 20 percent in the time immediately. We only want 20 percent of the uranium for our domestic consumption," Ahmadinejad told the newspaper The New York Times, Thursday.
The comments suggest that the Iranian leader is trying to revive nuclear fuel swap brokered by the International Atomic Agency Tenga disepakti two years ago. Under the agreement, Iran's uranium enriched to low levels to be exchanged with fuel that has been distilled from overseas.
